Creating 1,000 forest sanctuaries
through art and community
protected for 1,000 years
You are warmly invited to create an Eternal Forest Camp with us at the Gathering of Tribes, a 5-day curated event bringing together regenerative initiatives from around the world to ally for impact, in the lush highlands of north Portugal.
11-15th September 2024
ponte de lima, Portugal
Eternal Forest camp invites us to go deep into what it means to live with Eternal Forest – how to create a life connected with nature, art and community. To answer the question: How do we manifest the first Eternal Forest sanctuaries?
Our generation's planting and protection of forests is the start, however, how do we build a culture of vast intergenerational, lasting succession, a tree culture that transcends human lifetimes, a legacy for all future generations?
Eternal Forest camp experience
We begin by coming together and creating a shared language, ethics and culture through deep inter-being with the land and its cycles.
Our co-created Eternal Forest camp experience includes engaging conversations, artistic interventions, and workshops that highlight the voices of the forest and its inhabitants. It's a chance to listen deeply, reflect on our place in nature, truly connect, reflect and find our role in regenerating the biosphere, soil and water.
Who is Eternal Forest?
We need a diverse team and community to manifest this vision, including you!
Ticket includes access to the whole gathering for 5 days, participation in Eternal Forest camp private program & experiences, daily check-ins, campsite place.
Not included: camping equipment - bring your tent, or book glamping. Food - provided by local vendors or cook your own in the community kitchen

Camp Catalysts
Evgenia Emets
I am an artist and poet and Founder of Eternal Forest, working with forests, ecology, biodiversity and community through my visual works, poetry, installation, performance, and forest art.
Since making Portugal my home in 2018 I started the ‘Eternal Forest’ project, first as an attempt to understand the human drivers behind deforestation and the disappearance of biodiverse natural forests, and then with a vision to create Eternal Forest Sanctuaries through art and community engagement as spaces for deep connection with nature worldwide.
Dylan Chester
I come from a background of writing, environmental activism and forestry. While living in a variety of community spaces and growing deeply familiar with biomimicry as a skillset to match up the broad spectrum regeneration.
I find questions of the overlapping metascience and spirituality transcended and answered. In one line, I operate as a practical, articulate bridge between the human and nonhuman world. It's wonderful to explore ideas of a new world together, however I feel most alive in the tangibility of action. The earthwork, let's do that together, seeds in the soil.
Partner organisations part of Eternal Forest Camp
